Neermahal Water Palace

Neermahal (Water Palace) is a summer palace of the Tripura kings, built in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake. It is one of only two water palaces in India (the other being in Udaipur).

The architecture is a blend of Hindu and Islamic styles. Approaching the white palace by boat, especially at sunset when it is illuminated, is a royal experience.
