Lumbini is one of the most sacred spiritual destinations in the world and a major pilgrimage site in Nepal. Located in Rupandehi District, it attracts millions of visitors each year. 🪷

📜 Little History

According to historical records, Gautama Buddha was born in Lumbini around 563 BC. The site was later visited by the Indian emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. 🕰️

During his visit, Ashoka erected the famous Ashoka Pillar, which still stands today as historical proof of Buddha’s birthplace. 🏛️
